I am a birth and postpartum doula.  My goal as a doula is to facilitate the empowerment of women by supporting them from pregnancy through the newborn period.  I am a DONA trained and certified holistic doula.  I am CPR certified and I have studied massage/comforting touch for labor, Spinning Babies, the Bradley Method and more.

I strive to help parents feel respected, informed, confident and joyful as they navigate this tricky time.  Whether it is a hospital, birth center or home birth, I emphasize compassionate care to help parents achieve the birth they desire.  In the postnatal period, I seek to build confidence in new parents or growing families  with practical tips, tools and resources while smoothing difficult transitions, whether that is a new baby entering the home or a partner returning to work.  I provide non-judgmental support and a helping hand based on the individual needs of each particular client.

I am a native Upper West Sider and I received my BA in American History from Barnard College at Columbia University.  I live in Prospect Lefferts Gardens with my many plants, and I am thrilled to serve the women of my home city.
